Text Box: This event is PRIVATE on PRIVATE PROPERTY and is not open to the general public.   This page provides general information on the ride.  See the schedule on the main page of the railroad for dates.  Updated info will appear in Yellow.  Last update 08/26/09.   History 2009 will be the 3rd year for Mr. McBoo's Spooky Choo Choo and there have been many changes over the years.  We still don't know who Mr. McBoo is, but we are sure that the ride has gotten spookier over the years.    The first year the emphasis was on scaring the living daylight out of everyone.  That worked so well people were too afraid to ride--so now we have gone from being scary to spooky.  Yes, you still will get a few scares but the ride is now very tame and geared to be appropriate for all ages.     NEW FOR 2009! -The ride will start from a new location, The location is to be announced. -A campfire will return in 2009.  It will be near the start of the ride. -The rides will start at 5pm and continue until 9pm(or until I collapse from exhaustion).  This way the kiddies can ride and be snug in there beds at a reasonable time. -Rides will be available Friday and Saturday night.. -More announcements coming.     FAQ's for parents Q. How scary is it, I have a young child?  A. Has your child watched movies like Monsters Inc?  Then you should be fine.  It is required that a responsible person rides with children.   Q. Will there be gore or chainsaws. A. Gore will be minimal, such as fake body parts or decorative cloth with "blood" on it with no insinuation of how they got that way.  There will be no chainsaw, unfortunately.   Q. How long will the ride be? A. Not sure yet.   Q. What parts of the railroad will be closed during this event. A. It shouldn't be necessary to close any portion of the railroad mainline as most activates are done off of the mainline.  Most activities on the mainline will be like any other train on the railroad.   Special thanks to everyone who helps out with the event.  2008 was extremely difficult for me and I couldn't have done it without everyone’s help!    Volunteers Needed for 2009!  Setup will be Wed thru Fri.  Also needed is helpers, or someone who wants to handle, the Spooky Craft Session on Saturday.     All rules, verbal or otherwise, must be followed at all times.  Anyone breaking the rules will be asked to leave. Special lighting and effects will be used.  While the ride is generally tame, if you have any medical condition that could be aggravated by riding it is highly recommended that you don't ride.  Young children MAY NOT ride alone.     Questions about the ride itself can be directed to Matt or Dick.
