Come join us on Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday as we work to complete several projects at the track. We didn't have a work weekend in August and a few projects are on the list, assuming that we get enough volunteers out to complete them.

The first, not in order of priority, is debris pickup and collection along the mainline. There have been several summer storms that have allowed debris to repopulate our mowing and track area. A group of 3 or 4 individuals operating the train and picking up material along the mainline would be great for this project.

The second proposed project is the cutting down of a least two dead trees on the property. If you'd like to help with this project please bring your chainsaws and equipment to help us get these down and cut up. If you don't have any of this equipment, that fine, any assistance loading the wood and and getting it transported would be great!

The third proposed project is that we need to do some seeding along the railroad. We will have seed and straw to spread and a couple of people working on this project would be appreciated.

The forth project is associated with placing some concrete strategically within the creek and under some of our bridges. If you don't mind getting a little wet or if you have some waterproof boots please volunteer for this project.

The last project on our list is to do some ballasting and leveling on different parts of the mainline. We have a few areas that are leaning more than we would prefer. Due to our other projects we will likely need to utilize our ballast train for this task.

If anyone would like to help with any of these projects we would greatly appreciate your help this weekend.

Hope to see you there!
