Mill Creek Central Railroad's June work session was originally scheduled for Friday, June 5th and Saturday June 6th. Due to the scheduled arrived of the UP 4014 during those dates in northern Ohio we have decided to push our work session out a week, to June 12th and June 13th. This will allow our members and volunteers to spend the weekend chasing the Big Boy, should they choose, and then come the following week to assist us in our maintenance efforts. Thanks again to all

This will be the first year where we are combining our Dispatch meet with our Card Order Meet. Come join us this weekend as we continue to prepare the railroad for our first meet of the season. This work session will be a little different in that we intend to work on Friday and part of Saturday, and then those who are participating can get their equipment out and enjoy the railroad! There is still plenty to do as we continue to recover from the windstorm from a few weeks ago, so come out, give us a hand, and ride some trains!

We plan on doing some track work, drainage cleanout, as well as clearing and collecting debris in the mountain division. The volunteers that came out during our last work session did a marvelous job and we hope to have similar results for this work session as well. Come join us this coming Friday and Saturday (March 20-21) as we prepare the track for the 2026 season. With last week’s windstorms creating such havoc at the track we could sure use all the help we can get. We had a small crew out this weekend to start some of the cleanup. We had 10 trees that had fallen or needed felled. We also had 6 locations on the track that needed repaired due to tree and limb damage. So please come out and join us. Due to the poor weather and low temperatures anticipated at Mill Creek Central Railroad this coming Saturday we have decided to cancel the Turkey Run for this year. But don't get your giblets in an uproar as we have a great season scheduled for next year! So check out our schedule and reserve that vacation time. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

Come join us this Saturday as we close out the work season with our final work cleanup day. We’ve gotten the railroad in pretty good shape for the winter and plan on clearing the remaining leaves and debris that have fallen over the past couple of weeks. Hope to see you there.

This Saturday, November 8 (we’ve canceled the Friday and Sunday work days due to expected bad weather) we will continue our work cleaning up the fall foliage and cleaning out ditches, possibly remove a dead tree or two and other general preparation to get the railroad ready for the winter. We like to have the leaves and twigs cleaned up in the fall as it is much easier than trying to clean up wet soggy leaves in the spring. So if you can, come on out and give us a hand. If
