Mill Creek Centeal Railroad was hit by a major wind storm on Tuesday evening that resulted in nearly a dozen trees being sheared off and a few even had their root balls torn from the ground. Most of the damage occurred at Henry and Orchard down in the valley district. On Wednesday a couple of members were out with their chainsaws clearing the mainline right of way and repairing track. A local firewood dealer has asked if they could have the trees for firewood, agreeing to remove them from the property making it necessary for members to clean up the small branches that might remain. Considering the destruction we are very lucky that only a few locations on the track were severely damaged.
