The track crew has been busy building panels through the fall and now the track laying has begun. The photo (click to enlarge) of the extension just north of Apex was taken at the Blow down Meet. Note the stack of panels on the right - one of many stacks.
The photo shows the track just north of the previous photo where it it running west along the south edge of the ravine. An updated track diagram showing the proposed main line extension is at Track9_29_12.pdf.
There will a ~ 50 foot long ~8 foot high bridge at the west end of the ravine. Photo shows some of the steel for that bridge being unloaded during the Blow down Meet.
