A privacy fence was erected between the two car barns. Not sure what is so private but everyone can be assured that what happens at MCC stays at MCC.
A coal bin was constructed at the north end of Barney Yard. Unfortunately, it could hold only about half the coal so construction of a second bin is underway.
Construction of a roof over the transfer table has been started. One of the first steps was for Sparky to weld brackets onto the transfer table columns. We're lucky to have multitalented guys like Sparky.
The roof frame is nearly complete. Sheet steel roofing will be applied over the frame. There is insufficient room for a locomotive between the table and the roof when the table is at maximum elevation. A roof levitation scheme is under development to eliminate the squeeze.
