The gang at the work weekend April 22-24 really accomplished a lot. The track leading into, through and out of the tunnel is finished. The tunnel now feels like a highway tunnel rather than a damp cave. The tack has much smoother curves and more uniform grade. Photos below show the track from the north end of Wilson siding to the north end of Tower siding. The gravel around the track in the tunnel is a big plus. Note the much improved grading and drainage at both ends of the tunnel. That is a catch basin of sorts at the south end of the tunnel to keep water, sand and mud out of the tunnel. The drainage ditch off to the left in the last photo is the only major part yet to be completed.
