BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
MUSKINGUM VALLEY COUNCIL
Mill Creek Central Railroad recently held a Railroad Merit Badge day for 180 scouts at our track here in Coshocton. The scouts stayed overnight at their local campsite in Conesville Ohio and then arrived on Saturday morning with the assistance of the local school district who donated their buses to assist in their delivery to the track. In all, with the scouts, their parents and our amazing volunteer group we had nearly 300 people participating.
Susan Broehl was our coordinator with the scouts and she did a magnificent job in coordinating volunteers and arranging the 9 educational stations that the scouts went trough to achieve their merit badge. The event would not have been possible without the work that Susan and the volunteers, who participated at the stations, gave rides and prepared the potluck for the volunteers, did that day.
