Last week the steel support for the north end of the girder bridge was installed in holes filled with concrete. The holes were prefilled with water so it was easy to mix the concrete right in the holes. (Click thumbnail for large view of photo.)
Today we lowered the beams in place on the support and south side abutment. Miraculously no one fell in the creek.
The installed beams --- it took less than an hour to get both in place.
Ties were added behind the steel support at the north end. The ends of the ties need to be trimmed and then dirt added behind the ties.
